Backorders


Overview

Backorders are used in Jiwa when a customer order cannot be fully supplied from available stock. A backorder record allows the outstanding quantity to be tracked so it can be supplied when stock becomes available.

In this section, we cover how back orders are processed, and managed as part of the sales order workflow. We look at the difference between automatic and manual back order handling, how back ordered quantities are released, and how backorders are affected by sales order type and processing status.
