Reversal Work Orders are used in Jiwa when a processed Work Order needs to be reversed or corrected.
This article explains how to create and process a Reversal Work Order. This process may be required where a Work Order was processed incorrectly, the production quantity was overstated, or a previously processed disassembly Work Order needs to be reversed.
Reversal Work Orders should be used carefully, as they affect inventory quantities, work in progress, manufacturing costs, and related financial postings.
Important
A Work Order cannot be reversed if the stock created or affected by the original Work Order is no longer available in Jiwa.
Before reversing a Work Order, check that the related stock is still available and has not already been sold, transferred, consumed, adjusted, or otherwise removed from stock on hand.
Reversing Work Orders
From the menu select Manufacturing | Work Order
From the menu ribbon select New | New Work Order Reversal
In the Search Work Order to Reverse popup select the work order to be reversed
Load the work order into the form
From the menu ribbon select Save
Confirm the details of the work order to be reversed to ensure you have selected the correct work order
To complete the reversal select Close from the menu ribbon or change the status to Closed
The work order status is updated to Closed
The status on the original work order is also updated.
